Ruins

Ruins are defined as “the physical destruction” of something. But what I see hear is far from something damaged. It’s something wondrous, captivating, even a little beautiful.

Old buildings and the remains of structures have this aura to them. Just try to imagine the way it once stood, tall and strong upon the days of its creation. Or the people bustling in, out, and around the area with a purpose. Even now, people go for a purpose, even if it is to take photographs to reminisce amidst ruins.

As for “physical destruction”, I think I’ll find a different definition.

It goes pretty well with this week’s photo challenge – Resilient
